Senior AAT Tutor

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant too long ago now to mention with A C Mole and Sons in Taunton. In 2005 I decided that as much as I loved accountancy I wanted to combine this with a long held desire to teach and so I joined A Plus Training and started teaching AAT. During my time at A Plus I taught mostly the level 4 tax units and the auditing unit and then went on to teach ACCA modules and ATT. Having got a taste for teaching I moved onto lecturing at Plymouth University in 2010 where I was module leader for the tax and auditing modules on the Accounting and Finance degree and also taught ethics and led a Peer Learning program called PALS. I have now (almost) done full circle and found myself back with Simon and Prue supporting AAT students.

I love teaching and supporting students and so consider myself very fortunate to have based my career on doing what I love!

Out of work I am married with three children including two teenage girls (eek!). We also have a very energetic but very loving cockapoo called Poppy. Juggling family life and work keeps me fairly busy but in any spare time I enjoy keeping myself fit in the gym, going on long walks with the dog and spending time by the sea. I particularly love being on the beach at all times of year and have invested in a nice thick wetsuit so I can get in the water as much as possible to body board, SUP or surf (I can stand up but still very much a beginner!).

My Motto:

“Asking questions is a sign of strength and not weakness.”
