Star Student September 2025: Alexandria Harris

Personal Tutor: Graham

I began my AAT studies in January 2024 using Accountancy Learning’s distance learning Tutor Supported PLUS course and could not fault a thing!

I enjoyed being able to study at my own pace, plan exams in my timetable, so I could balance full-time work and a social life too.

Having the on-hand support of my tutor, Graham, was extremely beneficial; Graham’s continual encouragement and study support was always appreciated.

Before I started studying AAT Level 3, Graham provided me with access to a short AAT level 2 course so that I understood the foundation of bookkeeping before starting Level 3 AAT.

I progressed from AAT Level 3 with a Distinction in August 2024 and began studying AAT Level 4 in September 2024. I successfully completed AAT Level 4 in September 2025, achieving a Distinction.

Whilst studying AAT Level 4, I decided to pursue a career in Accountancy rather than in Industry Finance, so that I could work with a range of clients to help them meet their financial goals.

I moved to a local Accountancy Firm in July 2025 as Trainee Accountant, where I am looking forward to studying ACCA and becoming a Chartered Accountant, after completion of my AAT Level 4 studies.

I took on Alex as a direct entry AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting qualification student in December 2023 and from day 1, she has been such a driven, impressive and capable student from the outset, gaining a distinction grade, at the first attempt, on her AAT Level 3. Alex has continued in the same vein on her AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting qualification and has now a high likelihood of replicating her AAT Level 3 Distinction grade success on Level 4, with just one more unit to pass, namely Applied Management Accounting. She has been a pleasure to serve as her tutor, and she exhibits all the characteristics of being able progress onwards to attain her ACCA Qualification, then consequently, nurturing a fruitful higher level accountancy career. Keep fighting for your career goal Alex! You can do it!
