Star Student January 2020: Ben Foley

Personal Tutor: Pat

I decided to start AAT about 4 years ago, I was in a dead-end job I did not enjoy, selling home insurance in a call centre.  I didn’t know what I wanted to do but I’d always enjoyed maths at school, it was what I was good at.  So I decided to self-fund my level 2 and 3 of AAT. Once I had completed those, I was able to get a job working in accounts for a local superyacht supplier.  This new company funded my level 4 AAT, which I am delighted to have recently completed.  AAT helped me learn so much, it helped me find a job in the field I wanted and will hopefully be the start of a successful career in accounting.

Ben has taken all 3 levels of the AAT course with us, starting with L2 in January 2016. He has passed all his exams at the first attempt and gained a Merit in both the L3 and L4 diplomas. Studying by distance learning is a hard option and Ben has been studying continuously for nearly 4 years, showing real commitment and determination. I have been his tutor for Level 4 and he has been a great student, always completing all the prep tests and making full use of the resources available, including his tutor. He has shown that a steady and systematic approach to AAT studies produces great results.
