After finishing my A-levels in 2024, I wasn’t entirely sure what direction to take, but I knew I wanted to pursue an apprenticeship.

Since I’ve always enjoyed maths, accountancy seemed like a great fit. I joined Westcotts Chartered Accountants as an Apprentice Accounting Technician, and it’s been the perfect route into the profession for me. Studying with Accountancy Learning has been a great experience. The materials are well put together, and the weekly drop-in sessions have been invaluable. My tutor, Lydia, has been amazing – she’s always there to help, whether it’s with coursework or any tricky areas of study, and she’s quick to answer any questions I have.

I have now just started my level 4 and am hoping to take my first exam early next year.

I took over as Matt’s tutor in February this year upon my return from maternity leave. Matt was part way through his L3 Apprenticeship and progressing at an impressive rate. Matt sat all his exams ahead of schedule, with excellent scores throughout. He finished his apprenticeship at the earliest possible date and again went on to perform really well in his End Point Assessment. Impressive exam results aside, Matt is also a pleasure to work with. He is cheery and focused on his studies. He works hard to achieve his results, and his hard work and commitment has really paid off. He has now continued onto a L4 Apprenticeship with us, and I have no doubt he will excel with this too.
