I achieved MAAT certification in 2022 whilst working for a practice in London. I also have experience working in industry within the Pensions sector.
Prior to entering the world of accountancy, I worked as a benefits officer and also as a maths tutor, supporting struggling GCSE students (including my own son!). I particularly enjoy helping people who find mainstream learning difficult. If it’s true that the Universe conspires to give us what we want, then there definitely seems to have been a divine push towards teaching in my life: a few of my friends are teachers and the financial controller in my last role suggested accountancy teaching as a possible next step.
When I’m not working, I enjoy learning to play the piano and sometimes the guitar, and occasionally write something on the world’s ills.
