After leaving Durham University in 1994 , I went to work for Coopers and Lybrand in London where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. After qualifying I decided to see what it was like on the other side of the classroom, and spent two years at BPP teaching Bookkeeping, and Auditing and Financial Reporting to ACA and CIMA students. Following this I then spent 10 years working as a Finance Manager within the Investment Banking industry before taking a break to look after my two children.
Without doubt the job that I found the most rewarding was my time at BPP, so now that my children are older I have returned to accountancy tutoring with Accountancy Learning, and am very much looking forward to helping you reach your goals and be successful in your studies.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking for friends and spending time walking my two dogs.
If I were to give you one piece of advice, it would never be afraid to ask for help, there is no such thing as a stupid question. Whatever it is, you can be sure that you won’t be the first or the last person to ask it.
