We are increasingly contacted by those looking for job opportunities and careers in accountancy. As well as providing them careers advice, where possible, we will try to help them find some work experience or, ideally, a full time job.
As well as school leavers and graduates, there will be those already with relevant experience but re-locating and those looking to change careers, including those leaving the armed forces.
If you are looking to recruit at this level, please let us know and we will see if we currently have students fitting your recruitment criteria. (We are currently focusing on the South West region but will shortly be extending our service to other regions around the country.)
We can also assist you in recruiting apprentices via the Government’s Find An Apprenticeship (FAA) site. We can provide you with a template for the job description and person specification and arrange for it to be loaded on the FAA site, with applicants either contacting you directly or via us. As covered in more detail on our web page on Initial Assessment and Profiling, we can provide you with literacy and numeracy initial assessments to help in the filtering stages of the recruitment process.
For those employers in practice, we also have quite a few students looking to setting up as bookkeepers. If you would like to develop your own network of bookkeepers to assist you with your client work, please contact Simon Deane to follow this up.
