The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.
In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and our mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.
Pooling their resources to work as one, they are pivotal in coordinating the UK public’s response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with their Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, they raise the alarm to the UK public by launching high-profile appeals and setting up easy ways to donate.

How has Accountancy Learning Helped?
As a company and as individuals, we are extremely saddened by the current events within Ukraine and are touched by the strength of those affected by the situation and we want to help, so collectively 20 of our team members will be doing a “Virtual Steps to Ukraine (& back again) Challenge”.
It is 5,378km to travel from Exeter to Kyiv and back again, so our goal is to complete this distance between us during April. Each of us will be tracking the distances daily to show the kilometres we have covered, and we’ll provide updates on our progress as we go.
