The AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping course is currently on Special Offer! Please click here for more details.
This distance learning home study course is designed to introduce you to manual double entry bookkeeping skills including associated documents and processes, up to Trial Balance standard. It is an alternative starting point for those who are working, or wish to work in an accounting role in practice or industry.
The AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping course is a qualification in its own right, so upon successful completion of the units above, you will receive your certificate for the AAT Foundation in Bookkeeping. You can then choose to either complete the remaining units in the full AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting or, you can progress directly onto any of the AAT Advanced Qualifications. N.B. If you want to progress directly onto AAT Advanced level, but do not have any experience in using Sage, you may want to undertake the AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software first (please see course below).
This course includes the following units:
- Bookkeeping Transactions (BTRN)
- Bookkeeping Controls (BKCL)
These are the same two units that are included in the full AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting.
