Griffin are a growing accountancy firm wishing to recruit a bright individual looking for an apprenticeship in accountancy. As well as gaining invaluable experience in all areas of accountancy and tax, you would also study towards the AAT qualification. On successful completion of the AAT, the right candidate would also have the opportunity to progress onto the ACA to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
As part of the team you will help serve a variety of clients, gaining a wide range of experience in all areas of accountancy, including bookkeeping, personal tax, business tax, accounts preparation and audit. The work will be varied and will support the training given and vice versa. Working within a small team, you will be involved in all areas of the business and it will be a superb learning opportunity.
Griffin are looking for a dynamic individual who, with appropriate training and support, would feel confident to work out at clients’ offices when required.
The role is based at thier office in Honiton and would be for 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm. You would receive paid time off to study and training costs are also met by the firm.
- Minimum of 8 GCSE’s including B or higher in Maths and English.
- 3 A levels at Grade C or higher
Equivalent qualifications to those above acceptable. (Your application will not be considered if you do not meet these criteria.)
You will need to have strong numeracy, literacy skills and IT skills.
A general interest in business will be expected, as will be a willingness to learn. You will need to be confident and able to take on responsibility. You will also need strong communication skills and be able to deal with clients professionally.
